Modern Portable Refrigeration (MPR) offers 3 types of designs:

- Ground level 40′ refrigerated containers

The 20’ refrigerated containers and 40’ refrigerated containers are equipped with an “all-electric” Carrier™ cooling system. Our insulated 20′ refrigerated containers and insulated 40′ refrigerated containers allow for a multitude of products to be stored at a specific temperature. Even though they are called refrigerated containers, they can maintain temperatures below 0°F and up to 75°F (depending on the product requirements and usage).
The 20′ refrigerated containers and 40′ refrigerated containers are electric and require either 230V or 460V 3-Phase power. Refrigerated containers or “reefer containers” as they are sometimes called are a great alternative to diesel-powered units. Our electric refrigerated containers don’t emit any harmful pollutants into the atmosphere and are considered a “green” cold storage solution when compared to diesel-powered units. Electric refrigerated containers are also much quieter and far more cost-effective than diesel-powered refrigeration.
The flooring in our refrigerated containers is a durable aluminum T-rail construction. The trail floor is well-equipped to handle both pallet jack and forklift traffic. They are also equipped with lockable double cargo doors on one end for easy access.
The 20’ walk-in coolers are a great alternative for folks that do not have 3-phase power available on-site. They are equipped with an environmentally friendly “all-electric” Heat Craft™ cooling system. They require 220V single-phase power (on a dedicated 30 amp circuit) and have a 50 ft power cord. Using the digital push button controls, the temperature can be adjusted to maintain a set point between 0 deg F and 40 deg F.
They come standard with a large lockable 4’ butcher door on one end. The door is equipped with an interior safety release. The other features include a plastic strip curtain behind the door, a diamond tread plate floor (with a 600 lb per/sq ft capacity), an exterior digital temperature gauge near the door, an exterior digital temperature display on the cooling unit, and an interior light just inside the door.
